Details and prices of Pocket Wi-Fi for South Korea

South Korea is a tourist destination par excellence. Thanks to the fame its culture has gained through K-pop, Doramas, among many other things, it has become a place that people from all over the world want to visit.

So if you’re planning to visit, you should have a Pocket Wi-Fi handy. While there are several local companies, they don’t offer global delivery, so for some people, they may not be the best option.

Travelers Wi-Fi

Many travelers often want to have everything ready before their trip. That’s why Travelers Wi-Fi is an excellent option to make this possible. No matter where you are, the company will help you get your Pocket Wi-Fi for traveling to Korea.

Based in Switzerland, the company has gone out of its way to keep people connected no matter the destination. And the price of its service is not too high, to say the least. People can rent a Pocket Wi-Fi from Travelers Wi-Fi for 73.40 USD per week.

When it comes to shipping, the prices do change a bit, and depending on the distance, the price will vary little by little. People who are close to Switzerland will be able to pay $5 dollars. While those who are further away will have to pay $33.94 dollars

Finally, Travelers Wi-Fi accepts payments via credit card and PayPal. And in case of loss, people will have to pay an additional $158.39 dollars to the company.

Travel Wi-Fi

Travel Wi-Fi is a company that will do whatever it takes to keep people connected all over the world. With their portable Wi-Fi service, you can travel to Korea and remain connected at all times.

The company’s prices don’t tend to vary much, so no matter the destination, you can get similar prices. Regarding Pocket Wi-Fi in Korea, the price is $35.20, which is quite affordable for people.

The downside is that the service is limited, but this can always be solved by paying a little more to avoid losing the connection. As for deliveries, the company usually charges between 3 and 29 dollars depending on the distance between Spain, the country where the company is located, and the country where it will be received.

Currently, payments can be made through credit card or PayPal. Finally, we have to mention that people who lose a Travel Wi-Fi device will have to pay an additional fee for it.

The loss fee ranges from $149 to $199 dollars. And it may vary if the person had rented accessories at the time of getting the equipment.

Cello Mobile

If we want to maintain an internet connection, no matter where we go, then one of the best options to have on hand is Cello Mobile.

This company has been offering telecommunications services to people for several years and is one of the few that offers a virtually global service. For a price of $349.99 per week, you can have Pocket WiFi in Korea and anywhere else in the world.

When it comes to shipping, we can see that the company is a bit pricey. For Mexico, Canada, and within the United States, the price ranges from $10 to $30, while for the rest of the world, shipping is priced at $75.

Payments can only be made via credit card, but this should not be a big problem for users. As for penalties, if someone loses a Cello Mobile device, they will have to pay an additional $75, although this is less than the amount charged by other companies.

Rent n’ Connect

One of the big surprises on this list is Rent n’ Connect, a company from Turkey that many people may not have heard of before.

The company, in theory, offers prices that are quite affordable for individuals. Typically, the average ranges from 45 dollars upwards, although in the case of Korea, the price is just over 72.11 dollars for the Pocket Wi-Fi.

As to shipping, the company does not seem to have a fixed price, although they are all quite similar. Generally, the shipping price is between $11.31 USD to $16.97 USD, depending on the destination to which it will be sent.

As for payments, the company allows payments via credit card and PayPal, making it a viable alternative for individuals.

Finally, we should mention that the company penalizes those who lose their equipment, but they do not mention the price to be paid for the penalty. It might be around 150 to 215 dollars, but there is no concrete information.

My Webspot

My Webspot is another company based in Switzerland, so we can consider it to be the direct competitor of Travelers Wi-Fi. However, it is a bit different as to what it offers.

The price for their Pocket Wi-Fi service in Korea is priced at 95.76 dollars, but it should be noted that it is not unlimited. However, people can buy more data if needed.

The good thing is the shipping price. When paying for shipping, people will end up paying between $5.54 to $11.20 USD depending on where they are located, which is certainly an extremely economical rate.

My Webspot has several payment methods available to its users, so it shouldn’t be a problem to sign up for this service.

Regarding penalties, which can never be too much to mention, around 100 to 200 dollars will have to be paid to the company in case of loss. However, by paying insurance of 13.58 dollars you will always be able to pay the 101 dollars in case you lose the equipment.

Similar options to Pocket Wi-Fi for traveling to South Korea

From what we have seen, remaining connected in Korea will not be a problem. However, it doesn’t hurt to have other options on hand that could be useful for your trip.

Among these options, we have the data SIM card, the data eSIM, and free Wi-Fi. Let’s take a look at what each of these options has to offer.

Data SIM card

A data SIM card for travel is extremely useful. The purchase process is fairly straightforward and usually ensures you have a connection in most places you visit.

The great thing about these cards is that they are easy to use, and you can easily change them, so you can use the one that suits you best.

In case you want to buy one of these, we recommend that you take a look at what online stores have to offer in their data SIM cards section.

Unlimited data eSIM from Holafly

The data eSIM for South Korea is a SIM, but it is much simpler to use and will make things easier for you. These digital cards are easy to buy and set up. Will suit the needs of travelers as they are designed for them.

Holafly offers unlimited data and packages of five, seven, ten, fifteen, or twenty days of use. Any of the options can be recharged through top-ups for more days of usage. In addition, the store has a website and multilingual customer support.

If you want to learn more about eSIM data cards you can visit the Holafly eSIM shop. The company offers these cards for a wide variety of destinations, and we can take advantage of them as well.

Free Wi-Fi

Free WiFi is available almost everywhere in the city. So that it wouldn’t be a problem to be connected to these networks. But, think, many people will do it too.

The downside of free Wi-Fi is that it can become saturated and therefore, we would not be able to surf with ease. In some cases, they even limit surfing in certain places, so many people stop using it.
