AT&T Roaming

Are you an AT&T client? If you are, what we are about to mention will surely catch your attention. You know that whenever you want to sign up or subscribe to any type of service then you would like to have all the information available to be well-informed. Therefore, we will be talking about the AT&T roaming service, which is especially important for people who travel frequently around the world.

In case that you don’t know or still have doubts about this service, we will clear everything up, so you can sit down and relax. You will know about the AT&T roaming rates, the coverage area offered by the company, and much more.

How does the AT&T roaming work?

The AT&T roaming service works like all the other roaming services out there. The main difference for now is that they have two different plans available for their customers.

People can choose from the International Day Pass, which is the plan that will actually give them access to an internet connection, text messages, and a lot more. Or, if they want to make only phone calls, there’s a plan for that too.

So, it works like any other service, but you need to choose one before heading out to your destination and complete the purchase beforehand.

AT&T roaming rates

We already mentioned the services that AT&T offers to their customers. It is fair to say that the two services are pretty good and are up to people’s expectations, but they also offer extra messages, phone calls, and cellular data to their users.

But, what about AT&T’s rates? Are they affordable for everyone or, do travelers need to monitor their consumption carefully while traveling?

AT&T mobile data rates

Here’s something interesting about the AT&T roaming rates. Users will be able to use their domestic data plan, but they will need to pay to unlock it when abroad.

The International Day Pass is only $10 per day, and people basically have access to their regular cellular data plan that they use back home!

AT&T local and international phone calls rates

AT&T is quite ahead of its competitors as they offer two different options for people who need to constantly make international phone calls.

They offer a plan that is only focused on providing customers with unlimited phone calls, with this plan you can make as many calls as you wish, and it costs $15 per month. If not, people can still pay for the International Day Pass for $10 and get access to the minutes available on their domestic plan.

AT&T text messages rates

At the very end, we have the text messages. This service has lost popularity with the development of social media and messaging apps, but texts can still be useful at any given time.

People, just like with the other services, will have to pay for the International Day Pass to unlock text messages while traveling. The number of text messages available to be sent and received? That’s determined by your domestic cellular plan.

Countries in which people can use the AT&T roaming

AT&T has worked quite hard to offer people a proper service of internet in basically everywhere in the world. No matter where you go, AT&T’s roaming service will be there for you.

Believe it or not, the fact stands that AT&T offers their services all over the globe. It is because travelers will have access to this service in over 210 different countries from around the world. What does this mean? People will have access to AT&T roaming in every country on the planet.

In which countries you will have access to the service, you might be asking. Well, countries such as Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, China, Korea, the UK, Canada, Mexico, and many others are listed as the countries available on the AT&T service.

Alternatives for the AT&T roaming service

Well, we do know that using the roaming service might be something complicated to do, or might not meet people’s expectations

But this doesn’t mean it’s the end of the road. There are other alternatives that people can use, and they might be as useful as the AT&T roaming service.

International SIM Card

People have been using SIM cards for many years now. SIM cards are basically a cellular connectivity option that people can use with ease, and now it’s even better as it can be used by travelers.

In case that you want to buy your SIM card before traveling, or when arriving at your destination, it’s fine because that’s something that you can do. Also, you can rely on the Holafly SIM card as another alternative.

International eSIM Card

Well, now that we have noted that the SIM cards are available for international travel, it’s time to talk about the eSIM. Quite similar to the SIM cards, we have a digital substitute for this service.

Now, does it work in the same way as a SIM card? Yes, it works the same way as a regular SIM card. You can ask for one from your domestic operator, or you can go for the Holafly eSIM card.

Free WiFi

Free WiFi? Who doesn’t like to have a WiFi connection whenever they have the chance to? We all do, but does it mean that is useful for people in every single moment of their journey? That’s the big question.

It can be useful at some moments, but not at all times. As a WiFi hotspot is only available in a certain area, whenever you need to move from that area you’ll lose your connection.

Pocket WiFi

Time to talk about Pocket WiFi devices. People can rent one of these devices with ease before traveling, or even once they are traveling, in just a matter of minutes!

These devices will provide access to unlimited cellular data to its users. The only downside is that the price is quite high compared to the other services that we have talked about.

How to activate the AT&T roaming?

AT&T likes to keep things simple. People can easily activate the roaming service on their phones in just three different steps.

Here are the steps that they will need to follow to activate the AT&T roaming service before or while traveling:

  1. Find the “Settings” menu on your phone.
  2. Go to the “Mobile Data” option and press it.
  3. Find the “Roaming” button and press it to activate or deactivate the service.

Remember this: you will need to turn on and off the roaming service for as long as you need it. You need to pay attention to this because it might add additional charges to your phone bill.

Reviews about the AT&T Roaming

  1. “I have been with AT&T for 25+ years and I wouldn’t have service with any other provider!”
  2. “I have been with AT&T since 2007. I have always been happy with their customer service. It was the best.”
  3. “I have been with AT&T for 7 years. I am very satisfied with their service.”
  4. “AT&T the worst cellphone company.”
  5. “Honestly if it was not for the good promotion, I wouldn’t have gone to AT&T.”
  6. “I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with them. They turned my service off not for lack of pay but for lack of me using my phone daily. Had to go through a million different things to have it restored. Now I feel as though they are spying on me.”
