Then, follow these steps:

1. Locate and open the FaceTime app on your iPhone.
2. Use the Contacts tab or search bar to find the person you want to call. If their FaceTime is active, you’ll see a camera icon next to their name.
3. Tap the Video icon for a video call or the Audio icon for an audio-only call.
4. The call will connect over the internet, so simply wait for your contact to answer. 
5. Once connected, you can use the on-screen controls to mute, switch between front and rear cameras, add other participants, and so on.
6. When the conversation is over, tap the red phone icon to hang up.

After you hang up, FaceTime won’t use any more data.
