International Telcel Mexico Plans

Just like other operators from around the world, Telcel offers some international plans that will vary according to the country where people are traveling to. This makes it easier for people to choose the plan they prefer using.

But what makes the international service interesting is the available alternatives. People can choose how they travel, and there are three options to choose from. Of course, all of these data plans have different prices for people to use.

But to get to know more about these data plans, let’s give a quick view of what they offer:

  1. Roadtrip: The most common international service used with Telcel. Prices will vary according to where people are traveling to. To most countries within Latin America, the price goes from $49 to $99 Mexican pesos, which is less than $10 USD, but the service is somewhat limited. For European, Asian, African, and Oceanic countries, prices will vary from $499 to $999 Mexican pesos, which translates into $28 to $56 USD depending on the chosen plan, and the service provides from 300 MB to 1 GB with the most expensive data plan.
  2. Maritime: Maritime data plan is available to work with different cruise ships. There are over 25 different available cruise ships alternatives for people to choose from. Prices are more or less the same in most cases, and what matters most is the price per consumed MB, which is $400 Mexican pesos, around $22 USD.
  3. Flying: The Flying service for Telcel works in pretty much the same way as the Maritime. What’s important to consider here is the fact there are fewer airlines compatible with this service. Another important thing is that the price per MB is still $400 Mexican pesos, around $22 USD for each MB consumed.

International eSIM: An alternative to using in Mexico

Getting a SIM card from Telcel, especially for travelers, might be something complicated. Telcel doesn’t offer a service that’s easy to access for foreign travelers. Therefore, having an alternative that’s easy to access is better to keep in mind.

For us, international eSIMs come first when traveling to Mexico. These have become quite important as travelers don’t have to worry much about where to get an eSIM for Mexico, the requirements to get them, and much more.

A clear example of this comes with Holafly. The company offers international eSIMs, and they also offer an eSIM for Mexico, and getting one is extremely easy. Buyers only need to have an internet connection to complete the process, which is great.

On the other hand, the fact the Holafly eSIM for Mexico offers unlimited data is spectacular. There are different traveling packages available from 5 to 90 days, and the price varies from $19 to $99 USD, which makes it a better alternative for travelers!
