I have just returned from a month in Spain and the travel SIM was useless, I could only make one call to a couple of contacts, no local calls, no text messages and no internet. So don’t bother with this so called service. Several times someone from Travel SIM said they would call me back to help but they never did, terrible customer service. A complete waste of money. I travelled with a friend who also used Travel SIM and hers worked half the time.

Travelsim eSIM Card Installation Guide

Follow the instructions for installing and activating a Travelsim eSIM profile for IOS and later android operating systems, the processes for both iPhone and iPad are similar due to the organisation of the interfaces.

On the other hand, it is important to keep in mind that once an eSIM profile has been installed it should not be removed, this means that the profile is completely set up and it is no longer possible to install it again, you can transfer it to another device but do not remove it and install it again.

Label your eSIM

We recommend that you add a label to your TravelSim eSIM to ensure that you do not confuse it with your main SIM card.

To change the labels

1. Go to Settings
2. Tap on Cellular or Mobile Data
3. Tap the number whose label you want to change.

To label your new eSIM number

1. Click on Secondary.
2. Choose a suggested label (Personal, Business or Travel) or create your own.

Set a default number

1. From the home screen, tap Settings.
2. Tap Cellular
3. Tap Default line.

In this screen, choose the TravelSim number that will be your default number.

TravelSim eSIM installation instructions for Android phones

Install and activate your Travelsim eSIM profile in three steps, described step by step.

Install the eSIM profile

1. Open Settings, then tap Network & Internet and select Mobile Network.
2. Expand Advanced, then select Carrier and Add Carrier.
3. Scan the QR code you received by email (you can also find it in My Account).
4. Tap Start to add your new eSIM.

Your new eSIM is now installed. However, there are a few more things you need to do to make sure you don’t accidentally use the wrong SIM card for calls or data. Read on.

Change the name of your eSIM

We recommend that you rename your TravelSim eSIM to ensure that you do not confuse it with your main SIM card.

To change the name of your eSIM

1. Go to Mobile Network.
2. Select the eSIM you want to rename.
3. Click edit in the upper right corner.

Set your SIM preferences

In this screen, choose the TravelSim number that will be your default.

1. Tap the call preference or SMS preference.
2. Tap the number you want to use.

How do I create my Travelsim account with the card?

Before creating the account you must have the card number, which comes on the back of the packaging or card, it’s below the barcodes and is usually 11 digits long.

1. Insert the card number

Insert the Travelsim card number that comes with the SIM card or on the packaging, it’s 11 digits long.

1. Insert SMS verification code

Wait for a moment, an SMS verification code will be sent to your Travelsim number. Be sure to verify that the cell phone you are using the SIM is unlocked, otherwise you will not receive any SMS.

1. Create your account

The fields you must fill in are the email address, which you must confirm together with your password, with this account you will also be able to install your Travelsim eSIM.
