This is the second time I have used Knowroaming as a roaming solution. Used their SIM sticker product and it is very convenient.

Great concept but difficult to use. This app makes traveling much easier, except for the annoying activation process (which takes forever). The home page of this app looks like a real Apple 2020 app… but when you want to check your plan or load funds into your account… it looks and feels like a 1999 app all of a sudden. They are so obscure and I have no idea what I should do? And, WHAT does “load balancing” mean, is it even correct grammar?

Does my phone have to be unlocked to access any data plan?
Yes, your phone needs to be unlocked to use the eSIM data, SIM, or Knowroaming sticker.
Unlocking refers to the removal of a phone’s network restrictions so that it can be used with a SIM card from a different network. If you are unsure whether or not your phone is unlocked, please contact your cellphone service provider.
How can I unlock my phone?
Your wireless service provider can unlock your phone for you. You can find information about your provider’s unlocking policies by visiting their website or calling their support line.
Does my SIM card or SIM sticker have a phone number?
Each KnowRoaming sticker and SIM card comes with a US toll-free number. This number can be used to send and receive calls while abroad.
Can I receive text messages to my home number while I am abroad with Knowroaming?
We do not currently offer text message forwarding. Our ReachMe service (available only on the Sticker SIM) allows you to receive your calls, but not texts, to your home cellphone number.
However, you can use popular messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Viber to send and receive messages while on KnowRoaming.
Can I receive calls to my regular number while abroad with Knowroaming?
You can receive calls to your home cellphone number while using the Global SIM Sticker abroad by subscribing to an optional KnowRoaming feature called Reach Me.
Can I buy additional numbers from other destinations?
Yes, you have the option to purchase additional international numbers where others can reach you. This allows your contacts in the places you are traveling to dial a local number to reach you, saving them long-distance rates.
Numbers can range from $3 to $12.50 USD per month.
The numbers you purchase automatically renew each month. If you wish to unsubscribe from a purchased number you can do so at any time in the KnowRoaming application.
